Your Challenge
- You are responsible for VP Bank (BVI) Ltd. daily business, people, results and operations, monitoring regulatory changes in the British Virgin Islands, ensuring compliance with laws and internal rules, preparing annual budgets and reports for the Board, managing investments within the approved budget, and representing the bank to authorities, auditors, shareholders, and clients
- You drive the bank's strategic expansion in line with the Group strategy, crafting innovative solutions to boost efficiency, market share, and profitability. Furthermore, you evaluate hiring and growth opportunities, manage strategic alliances and partnerships, oversee strategic initiatives, and spearhead banking innovations such as product development or fee bench-marking
- Cultivating and expanding customer relationships tailored to individual business cases and aligned with our target market focus and our company values, while maintaining a robust network of relationships and ensuring strict compliance with legal regulations and internal directives. Specifically: build and expand our leading role as the first and only private bank in the BVI, best solution provider for premium real-estate and first-choice service partner for insolvency practitioners
- Leading the bank's management team, you're overseeing and mentoring direct reports but also conducting regular senior executive management meetings (SEM). Information from the Group Executive Management (GEM) will be transmitted via the Regional SEM
- In your role you also coach client advisors, support their acquisition efforts, and ensure the organisation remains customer-focused, prioritising customer well-being
- Exemplifying clear communication and collaboration with defined responsibilities and efficient processes, and being in-volved in cultural and social initiatives in the communities we serve, you strive to make the organisation the employer of choice in the Caribbean
- Ultimately, you are managing risks by ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining balanced risk management
Your Profile
- Higher education in banking or finance (or comparable) and significant experience in the banking sector, preferably in a similar management role with P&L responsibility
- A broad range of banking skills covering at least organisational and operations processes, lending, investment manage-ment, sales management, and compliance with regulations of multiple jurisdictions
- Significant expertise in international private banking and wider financial services, providing an in-depth understanding of a broad range of international clients, their structures, and holistic wealth management needs
- A distinct ability to think strategically, derive and implement impactful measures to drive growth in wealth management, while maintaining strong margins and ensuring compliance and risk standards
- Proven success in building and systematically developing inclusive, high-performance organisations, with a focus on client acquisition, customer development, and sales, capturing synergies across business lines
- Entrepreneurship, goal-oriented enthusiasm, emotional intelligence, eloquence in both English and German, as well as credibility, competence, and confidence when dealing with internal and external stakeholders
