As a 'one-stop shop', VP Fund Solutions (Luxembourg) SA offers all the services that make up the fund business: The fund-related services range from fund formation, fund administration, risk management, custodian banking, UCITS- or AIFMD-compliant management companies and distribution support to fund brokerage and portfolio management. Chief Operating Officer and Global Head Fund Operations (COO, Conducting Officer, Member of the Executive Board) (m/f/d)

Your challenge / the position:
- You drive definition and implementation of VP Bank Asset Servicing's operations strategy, including (i) optimal setup across the two VP Fund Solutions locations (leveraging on group-internal services) and (ii) make-or-buy decisions.
- You drive the definition and implementation (as sponsor) of IT strategy for Asset Servicing to optimally support the pre-defined operations strategy.
- You are responsible for the day-to-day management of fund operations for all funds across all asset classes, including continuous improvement of both efficiency and quality, along pre-defined KPIs (such as but not limited to NAV timeliness, NAV errors, waiting times, operations losses, etc.) as well as defining and managing budgets for headcount, information provider, system providers etc.
- As conducting officer you represent your area of responsibility towards the Executive Committee, the Board of Directors and CSSF.
- You continuously monitor market trends, (new) system providers, technologies etc. as input for benchmarking of our own processes, and ideas for continuous improvement.
- You drive material projects for Asset Servicing as sponsor, according to defined overall Asset Servicing Roadmap as decided by the Asset Servicing leadership team.
- You represent Asset Servicing / VP Fund Solutions in the local market, including e.g. technical working groups (e.g. ALFI).
Your Profile
- You completed your studies in economics or business administration.
- You bring 10 years + sound professional experience in operations (esp. central administration) for AIFMs / ManCos / Fund Administrators.
- You have deep and broad understanding of financial instruments, operations processes and the related regulatory environment for both UCITS and AIFs , traditional financial instruments and private market assets.
- You follow a structured approach to analyzing issues, finding alternative solutions and implementing the necessary measures.
- You act as leader for your area of responsibility, i.e. setting ambitious targets, gaining buy-in of organization and drive continuous improvements as a team.
- You are a mature personality to act as representative for the entity towards the market, prospect and existing clients, the regulator and internal (senior management) stakeholders.
- You have the ability to build a network of professional and personal contacts that enables you to implement relevant market practice in your field.
- You have a systematic and structured way of working combined with a high service orientation.
- You are fluent in German and English, knowledge of French is considered a strong advantage.
