As Senior Third-party Manager, you are at the forefront of the Bank's interactions with third parties, directly managing operational risk and ensuring that third-party and especially outsourcing engage-ments align with the Bank's objectives and risk appetite.

Your Challenge

Managing third-party risk presupposes a profound knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements regarding outsourcing management and the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), and involves a comprehensive understanding of third parties' operational capabilities and the possible threats they pose to the Bank's stability and success. You will thus help to safeguard the Bank against operational disruptions and reputational damage, ensuring a stable and reliable service provision chain.

You will work closely with colleagues at local and VP Bank Group level as well as third parties inside and outside of VP Bank Group, to document and assess the risks of contracting with / outsourcing to third parties, review terms and conditions, establish SLAs and monitor the ongoing performance of these external partners.

You will assess service provider performance against agreed metrics, ensuring that third parties meet contractual obligations and performance standards. This continuous monitoring and feedback loop is integral to maintaining robust relationships and enhancing operational resilience. You will report relevant results to the governance bodies of the Bank.

Your Profile

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in the field of business administration, risk management, ICT (or equivalent professional qualification)
  • You gained at least 5 years of experience in Operational Risk Management, Third-party Oversight or in a relevant consultancy function
  • You have a sound knowledge of the operational setup and processes in a bank and master the regulatory environment it operates in
  • You have a high interest for acting within the 1st line of defense to protect and serve the bank by performing oversight activities
  • You show professional communication and presentation skills towards different stake-holders
  • You have exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to details and accuracy, and are keen to review, adapt and enhance processes
  • With your excellent problem-solving skills, you always focus on finding the best solutions
  • You provide very good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Reliability, responsibility, and discretion are important values of your work
  • You cherish a working environment in which you can make a difference and collaborate across international locations with people from several departments and levels of seniority
  • You have fluent communication skills in English, business language skills in german, French being an additional asset.
